Fall Fest 2014!
For those of you not in the know, Deer Creek holds Fall Fest each September to celebrate its anniversary. 2014 is our 5 year benchmark and we are working on making this celebration bigger & badder than ever before! “Bigger & badder than what?” you ask? Check out what we have planned for this year and pictures from last year here. Go ahead, have a look. I’ll wait…
Look like fun? That’s nothing compared to the event of the season we’re working on for this year! For starters, Fall Fest 2014 will encompass the entire weekend. Saturday kicks off at noon with live music from 2 very unique groups. Clurican is a Celtic band of Clarion U staff that inaugurates the weekend from 1-4pm. Aptly named Keep Off the Grass (Bluegrass group–fantastic string pickers) follows from 5-8pm that evening.
Besides the live music, we’re offering everything fun you can think of, and some other things you might not! For starters, we’re debuting our rustic wagon rides through the winery grounds. OH, also the ENTIRE WINERY is on sale! We’re having birthday cupcakes, door prizes, and giveaways. But that’s just the tip of the iceberg!
We have so many vendors lined up, you won’t know where to begin! Food vendors like Brimfield Bread Oven from Brimfield, OH is serving up pizza, pretzels, & bread from their wood-fired oven, local artist Marsha Maddy will feature jewelry among other things, we have some informational booths from groups around the area, and lots of artisans with very unique wares for your perusal.
Sunday begins with a public church service (all are welcomed with open arms!) at 9am at the winery. We humbly thank Cindy Stewart for leading the service!
Fall Fest begins at noon and runs until 5pm with heavy hitter Junction PA storming & performing classic hits for us from 2-5pm, and the fun continues with more giveaways, vendors, & prizes.
Don’t miss your chance to “Bottle Your own Wine”, make yourself a wine cocktail at our Sangria Bar, and have some family-friendly fun in rural PA!
Bring a lawn chair & relax, we’re expecting a hefty crowd and want everyone to be comfortable!
