Deer Creek Winery Works Towards Keeping PA Beautiful

L-R James Brooks, Jen Crawford, Barb Bell, and Annah Burke following the June 17th Soap Fat Road Community Cleanup.

Shippenville, PA- Deer Creek Winery in Shippenville, PA is working hard at giving back to the community and keeping our area beautiful. On June 17th, they held their first Soap Fat Road Community Cleanup. Community members and staff volunteers, worked diligently to clean the three mile stretch of roadway leading to the winery. Volunteers were recognized afterwards and treated to a picnic and live music at the winery to thank them for their efforts.

This is the second community service project the winery has done this year, after the food drive that they had partnered with Forever Media Inc. with. They don’t plan on stopping there! The DCW leadership team has plenty more community service projects in the works and they hope more and more community members will continue to participate. Follow along with their Facebook page to receive updates of their next project and call the winery at (814) 354-7392  if you would like to participate or know of any service project they can help with!
