Deer Creek Winery is the Perfect PA Weekend Getaway

1. Room Selection

We have 8 gorgeous guest rooms, each seasonally and culturally designed to spur inspiration during your stay. Retire for the evening in our “Winter in Paris” or “Autumn in Italy” rooms, or relax in “Deer Creek,” named to honor the beauty of the surrounding Pennsylvania countryside our family has cultivated for 5 generations.

In fact, every room has a special meaning:

“Brooks Deluxe” is named for our family as a show of pride in our finest room
“Spring in Spain” is decorated with cultural treasures our daughter brought back from a trip overseas
“Celebration” is a cheerful space meant to celebrate any occasion
“Vintner’s” pays homage to the culture and history of winemaking
“Summer in California” rouses a laid-back West Coast feel

Each of our rooms contains a crackling fireplace, and most also house an in-room whirlpool.

2. Live Musical Acts

We host several musical acts each weekend, Friday through Sunday.

The area around our Winery and Inn at Shippenville, PA is home to dozens of talented musicians. What luck, a lot of them love to swing by to play for a few hours for our wonderful guests, who love to soak in the tunes with a favorite from our famous wine collection.

Do you love folk music? How about soft rock, blues, or bluegrass? You could hear it all any given weekend at Deer Creek Winery.

3. Regular Events

We stock our calendar with events to entertain our dear friends and patrons year-round.

Each year, we host the always popular Springfest and Fallfest the third weekends in May and October. Hordes of regulars and other visitors stop by for great food and music featured at the 3-day festivals.

5. Wine Tasting

We opened the winery in 2009, specializing in raspberry wines. We now bottle over 2-dozen other selections covering all Vinotypes.

Needless to say, we’d be crushed if you didn’t sample all of them (responsibly, of course)!

6. Wine Bottling

Now, here’s a special treat. Who wouldn’t be excited about trying wine you bottled personally?

We proudly count wine bottling opportunities among our regular public events. Or, if you book a stay at the Inn, you can add a Winery tour and bottling session as an extra perk!

7. Facility/Grounds Tours

Each bottle of wine has a special journey from the vine to the glass. Visit us to learn exactly where and how your favorite selections make it from our family’s land to your family’s dinner table.

We also have the Deer Creek Olive Grove, where we sell more than 40 flavors of olive oils and balsamic vinegar.

You’ll be pleased to know our wines and other products come from 100% natural ingredients.

8. Back To Nature

Our Inn and Winery are just a short drive from nearby Allegheny National Forest and Cook Forest State Park. If you’d prefer to stay close to the Winery, we have our own trails winding through 100 acres.

But even beyond that, Western PA is full of opportunities for outdoors enthusiasts to:
