Happy Cinco de Mayo Day! Now, is the time to plan for a delicious Cinco de Mayo feast and choose the right wine pairing for your dinner. We are going to make it super easy for you!

Tacos – The absolute easiest and most fun way to create a quick and inexpensive Cinco de Mayo feast is serving tacos with all of the fixings. Great for a patio party too! Choose the correct wine based on the taco meat. If beef, choose a red wine. Shippenville Red pairs great. If chicken, you would definitely want to serve our Cranberry Mist or one of the sweeter fruit wines to offset the spicy foods. And don’t forget fish tacos! They are so good and pair it with a glass of our Fryburg White.

Fajitas – Fajitas are so good and great for an outdoor cookout. Grill your seasoned pieces of chicken, steak & shrimp (and vegetables) on the patio while your guests (or family) are preparing their soft flour tortillas filled with cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, salsa, sour cream and guacamole. You can practically smell it cooking now! Again, you could pair this according to the meat that your are serving. If using all three meat choices, we suggest pairing your fajitas with Berry Wild Sangria. Fill each glass with sliced lemons, oranges, cherries, apples and top with a splash of Sprite.

Also you could make your own Wine-tini!

Wine-tini – 6 oz Fryburg White or Berry Wild Sangria
3 oz Triple Sec
1.5 oz Sweetened Lime Juice
8 large ice cubes

Pour into blender and mix well. Will make 2 Wine-tinis.

Happy eating and drinking to Cindo de Mayo Day!
